Things you need to know This smart key lock set will not work with your old Weiser keys. You will need to re-key all of your old lock sets to the the new smart key. If your old key code has number higher than 6, you can not get a smart key made to fit your old key number which again makes you re-key your old locks. The smart key will fit in the old locks. When installing be very careful when installing the inside door knob or the locking mechanism will push out the rear and you will need to get another knob. Inside locking stem made of plastic. Handlesets.com are great people to work with. They sent me a replacement knob out the same day. Weiser was going to take six weeks for warranty. Weiser Lock customer service is the worst company I have ever dealt with. I have bought lock sets from them for 30 years but never again. December 11, 2009

can old key number E46695 be keyed to open GA531HT?

A. You can use a key code of your choosing to key locks you purchase through us, we have a free keying option just for that! Just know that if you have other locks that exist with that same key code, the same keys can be used to open both old and new locks.
