THE NEW KWIKSET SMARTKEY 5-PIN CYLINDER IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH OLDER WEISER LOCK CYLINDERS. Can you still key it to an existing Weiser Troy lock?

A. Weiser Lock GA531P-S is the SmartKey version and you will not be able to key it to a Weiser key. It will only be able to be keyed to a Kwikset key. However, this model is available with the Weiser Lock Cylinder which can be keyed to a Weiser Key. Please see Weiser Lock GA531P.

I have a Weiser Door Knob with a lock that I need to replace. Can I get the key cut to match the keys that I already have. It has a code on the back of my key. Otherwise it will take a different key than I have for all the dead bolts and other door locks in the house

do all weiser locks take the same key blank

A. The Weiser Lock GA531P-S uses a Kwikset cylinder which uses a kwikset key blank. Not all Weiser locks use the Kwikset cylinder.
